TCIP - Texas Continuous Improvement Process
We’d like to know what you think about Special Education in Texas.

Region 4 Education Service Center (Region 4) is hosting a Texas Special Education Public Input and Information meeting on behalf of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to gather input on special education in Texas. This meeting is a part of the Texas Continuous Improvement Process (TCIP) and is not a public hearing. Your attendance will assist us in gathering input for the TEA.

  • Child care will not be provided. If it is necessary to bring your child, please also bring quiet activities to keep your child occupied during the meeting (e.g., homework, coloring books, reading material/favorite books, electronic games with a headset).
  • The meeting is NOT intended as a forum to resolve specific, individual complaints regarding district special education services. In order for TEA to investigate alleged violations of federal regulations and/or state rules, the complaint must be written and signed. If you wish to speak to someone at TEA about a complaint, you can leave a message on the Parent Information Line (1.800.252.9668). Your call will be answered by a staff member from the TEA Complaints Management Unit.
